Hometown's beauty!

    De baștină provin dintr-un oraș mic și frumos, plin de istorie și ruine. În acest an, am ajuns acasă în plină sărbătoare, pentru ca au restaurat niște ruine dintr-o cetate și le-am putut vizita. A fost și un festival care reproducea obiceiuri și scene din epoca medievală. Atât de frumos mi se pare să mergi într-un loc și să îți imaginezi ce s-a întâmplat cu adevărat pe acel meleag acum mult timp. Se simte ca și cum e doar o poveste, dar e incredibil când ne gândim că astfel de lucruri s-au întâmplat cu adevărat. Că oamenii menționați în cărțile de istorie au fost în viață, văzând, respirând, oameni ca tine și ca mine, și nu doar niște nume și date atât de rău menționate în clasele de curs și deseori menționați în cărțile de istorie. Incredibil de crezut că oamenii și evenimentele au fost reale, nu doar mituri și povești erodate de vântul timpului.

   I come from a small and cute town, full of history and ruins. This year I arrived home exactly when a part of the citadel ruins were restored and we could visited them. There was also a festival that reproduce some customs from the medieval period. So nice to go to a place and just imagine what actually might have happened on the ground so long ago. It almost feels like it's just a story, but it's incredible to think such things really happened. That people mention in the history books were all living, seeing, breathing people like you and I, and not just names and dates so badly mentioned in the classes and so frequently passed over in the history books. Incredible to think that the people and events were real, not just myths and tales eroded by the wind of time.
